Rooted in Kindness

The Story Behind Mayfair Care Agency

Choosing care for yourself or a loved one is one of the most important decisions a family can make. At Mayfair Care Agency, we understand that care is about far more than support with daily tasks; it’s about trust, dignity, and feeling truly valued.

Our story began in October 2003, when Barbara Spires founded Mayfair Care Agency with one simple belief: treat others how you would expect to be treated yourself. For Barbara, care wasn’t just a business opportunity—it was personal. She wanted to provide home care that felt compassionate, respectful, and genuinely supportive to people in her local community. More than twenty years later, that belief still shapes everything we do.

Today, the agency is led by Barbara’s daughter, Carol Hitchman, our Registered Manager and an experienced carer herself. Carol remains closely involved in the day-to-day delivery of care, ensuring the same family values of kindness, dignity, and compassion continue to guide our work.

Being family-led means we never lose sight of what matters most. We understand that inviting a carer into your home is a big step, and we approach every visit with warmth, professionalism, and respect.

We are proud to provide trusted home care services across Evesham, Worcestershire, and surrounding areas, with plans to expand further into Warwickshire. As a local care provider, our carers are part of the community—they understand the people, the places, and the importance of familiar surroundings.

Remaining at home can make a significant difference to wellbeing, confidence, and independence. That’s why our services are designed to support individuals safely and comfortably in the place they know best.

Our team delivers a wide range of personalised home care services, including domestic care, personal care, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, palliative and end-of-life care, and live-in care. Every care plan is tailored to the individual. We take the time to listen, understand routines and preferences, and adapt our support as needs change.

Alongside supporting private clients, we also work closely with local authorities and healthcare professionals. This partnership approach gives families confidence that our care is not only friendly and personal but delivered to high professional standards.

Above all, we are a local team caring for our community—and that is something we are incredibly proud of. Because care isn’t just about meeting needs; it’s about making people feel safe, supported, and valued every single day.
