The charity’s vision is “Saving lives by saving time, today, tomorrow and in the future” and their mission is to provide patients with outstanding pre-hospital care and, ultimately, to save lives.
They respond to the most traumatic of incidents including cardiac arrests and road traffic collisions.
Each year it costs in excess of £10 million to maintain the three aircraft and to continue to provide their lifesaving service.
Each air ambulance mission costs an average of £2,500. Each critical care car mission costs £224 on average.
The charity does not receive any funding from the Government for daily missions, meaning they must rely entirely on the support and generosity of the local people and businesses.
Rod Spires wanted to help this charity by completing his charity skydive and raising money for the Midlands Air Ambulance.
Like Mayfair Care Agency, the Midlands Air Ambulance charity aim to provide a care service to the highest standard. Although the two are different in the actual services they offer, they come together in the care they provide and the goal of helping others.
This charity was chosen by Rod Spires due to personal family experiences and is a charity he holds close to his heart. By partaking in this charity skydive Rod managed to raise an impressive £1510 for the Midland Air Ambulance.
